These mohair wool socks are perfect year round! The wicking properties of mohair wool will keep your feet warm in the winter and cool and dry in the summer.
The socks are made in South Africa by a women-owned business that employs five local ladies who are involved in various phases of making and finishing the socks. All of the yarn used for their products is made in South Africa from sheep and goats farmed in the Karoo and parts of the Western and Eastern Capes.
The hand dyed yarn is done in small batches vs. commercially dyed yarn. Commercial dyeing is done in pressurized machines which forces color into the yarn and means it’s evenly applied across the yarn. Hand dyeing is much more fluid, the color intensity will vary across one ball and it looks a lot more alive and natural.
Sizing: Fits shoe sizes women's US 7-10
**Care Instructions: These socks are hand made, so in order to prevent the dye from bleeding, hand wash in cold water the first 2 or 3 times. After that they shouldn't bleed any more and you can machine wash and then lay flat to air dry.
